FX Solutions/IFX Markets Merger News

If you haven’t heard, FX Solutions is merging with IFX Markets – or actually it’s the other way around really because the combined entity is going to be known as FX Solutions.

Despite the notion of, and rightfully so if you were to compare the facts, that FX Solutions’ spreads aren’t the most competitive, it has steadily grown, been funded, and been acquired all in the past couple of years.

FX Solutions was acquired by UK-based City Index earlier this year and IFX is a subsidiary of City Index. The combined company will have approximately 60,000 traders which puts it in high company.

The merger will complete Sept. 30 and will have no effect on current FX Solutions traders and accounts.

This is more internal consolidation, but you can be sure that the trend of increased consolidation of larger brokers merging or acquiring smaller scale brokers will continue.
