Carlos Wolf and FXtectips

I just met with Carlos Wolf, the president of FXtectips yesterday and it’s been a long time coming.

There have been rumors of Carlos and his trading, on questions of how many losing trades he’s ever had, how much he earns trading, etc.

I went into our conversation with a different mindset. I just wanted to know Carlos and have a little glimpse of how he approaches trading and teaching, and see why he does both. Exactly what his personal success has been only matters to a certain degree – to know that what he does can be successful. Outside of that it’s finding common philosophical ground – which we did.

There’s a way we can work together, and that’s something that I look forward to exploring further.

  1. Does anyone know anyone who has consitently made money as a result of Carlos’s instruction.

  2. @ Jerry: Good question. Can I assume that you have taken his training? If you did, what are your thoughts on it?

  3. Yes I did. Didn’t work for me.
He had an ability to modestly make fantastic claims about his trading success. Just wondering if I was conned.
    I suspect so.

  4. Jerry – Carlos is a wonderfully personable individual and perhaps his methods are too specialized to the regular trader to have success with? I’d like Carlos to get back to me, that would be a good start ;) .

  5. I took Carlos’s course and traded along side him for a month at an hour a day, I saw him take trades, get stopped on zero trades, never lose money on a trade; one time he flipped over to his trading account for about 15 seconds to make a trade, (I couldn’t see it myself or I would’ve taken it too :) EUR/US plummeted down over 60 pips in the last 5 minutes, while he was teaching he said “excuse me a minute” and in about 15 seconds was back to talking, I saw him enter long and exit half his trade 10 seconds later, he made 30 pips, or 300 grand, and left half his position in as he thought it might be going up. later that night, that position and another were taken out at 0.
Another time he had already been in the trade it was racing 45 pips back up to his stop, was within 20 pips at the time, I recomended he get out and take the small profit that was left for him, he said “no” he had a good entry and still understood what was happening, Later that night (after we got finished the session, I watched the EUR/US come within 6 pips of his stop, it then plummeted for 2 days, he rode it and actually entered more postions on the C leg as he had caught a an A. for over 400 pips! I can say from my experience with him that he is real, and that nothing I have ever done before in trading is like him, he calls tops and bottoms and even what time they will happen. I am still spinning my wheels on it, it is difficult, I doubled my account one week and nearly lost all my profits in the next 2 weeks, but I am still in it and still learning. He IS real, his system is not easy, but it’s real. He does not have many students who can do it, long time frames and difficult hours with difficult entries… But it is nice to get 100 pips with a 10 pip stop loss, people in the forums think your a nut when you call the exact pip it will stop trending at, and then they want to know how in gods name you called it :) He’s the real deal. He is bad at returning calls and E-mails I will have to say, he is very busy though that is not an excuse… I have left him 4 r 5 E-mails now without response, next time I see I will bring it up that he needs a secretary or something. Hope this helps, feel free to ask me questions.
